I'm back to blogging again. Our Children's Ministry at F.U.M.C. is growing and all children's environments for learning are soooo much fun. Please check www.kidsongodsstage.com for bunches of information about our children's mission focus for this year along with fun activities.
Let's all pray for our children each day to become a beacon for God in this sometimes, very dark world! They can do it and they can light the way for us adults!!!!

Family Prayer and Witnessing of a Child
Job 1:1-5
I Chronicles 22:6-13
Our family always holds hands as we pray before our meals. Recently in Roanoke City Market, as we sat down to eat...our granddaughter reached out for our hands as a reminder (sometimes our stomachs interrupt our prayer focus during the day) for us to be thankful for our family and our food, especially in public places.
This was our "God's Presence in the Sightings"... what I saw was a two year old reminding and leading the adults. Praying openly for our children was demonstrated by Job and David as they prayed faithfully for their children. Praying is learned very early in life from parents and grandparents...what a wonderful legacy to pass down.
This time, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs as we witnessed the faith of a young child learning about the importance of prayer.
